On 22 October, Jon Price attends inaugural UK-China Reform and Innovation Forum (RIF), which was announced by Prime Minster Cameron and Premier Li Keqiang in 2014.
The RIF is jointly convened by two leading think tanks, Chatham House and the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), involving high level experts and decision makers from both countries. The aims of the RIF are to:
- Enhance bilateral corporation through learning about each country’s work on reform and innovation;
- Examine innovative and practical ways to reform governance systems in the UK andChina;
- Enhance understanding of how to address growth and development challenges.
Each year, the Forum will focus on a different topic. The key objective is to identify innovative ways to reform the governance structures used to promote development in the UK and in China, in order to promote more resilient, more competitive and greener growth models.
